Not too long ago we challenged ourselves to change. Change the way we look at money and use money. We used a lesson series by Dave Ramsey called Generation Change that came complete with enthralling videos and introspective discussion. (o.k. cheesy, but good videos) After 8 weeks of discussion, prayer, and a materialism maze many of us took the challenge. I'm wondering how many of us are still fighting for a different lifestyle. I can remember one conversation with Lenora (photo on right) when she told me how well the envelope deal worked. Personally, I am using the envelope system right now (for about the tenth time) and hopefully will be able to stick with it. We have been challenged to change the way we live and the way we give. We've been called not to be sucked in by the bells and whistles of the next big thing. Called to be wise. I believe the statements were:I know I have value in God's eyes.
I know that know amount of stuff can change my self worth.
I know the dangers of debt, from credit cards to car payments.
I know why and how to save money and pay cash for what I want.
I will live a lifestyle of generous giving that can change the world around me forever.
How are you doing with that? Write in and let us know
