So we were blessed to have our SNL at the Brooks' house. Not too many parents are brave enough to let us into their home. Even fewer would invite us in when their Christmas decorations were in full bloom. I asked everyone to get together by the Christmas tree for prayer before we ate. Problem was, there were eight! People were gathering all over the house.
Matt led us in praise and we shared a devotional thought about being genuine from Isaiah 58.
The highlight of my night was throwing fruit at Emily Chaffin. She's not so bad at catching citrus products. Might be a real future for her in produce. The grossest thought imaginable award goes to Patrick for sharing that he had just recently put an entire kittens head in his mouth and, upon pulling an unidentified object from in between his dogs mouth, decided to smell it. ewwww...... May be a future in sanitation for him If you weren't able to check out the progressive photos of Alliemarie and Tinsley in the hallway you need to make that top priority for the next time we are able to be with them.
Happily, as far as I know, no one got lost on the way home this time. The last time we left I had a close encounter with wild life and wound up leaving the neighborhood from an area I didn't know existed. in fact I'm still not sure God didn't have mercy on me and create an exit. I know everyone had a great time and I'd like to hear some of your stories from tonight. leave a comment and let us know what you will remember
